The new edge of the solar system Part l.
Out beyond PLUTO is TRANSPLUTO.
How do we know that such a thing really exists?
Since the discovery of PLUTO, scientists have generally agreed that this single planet PLUTO, was too small to induce the irregularities seen in the orbits of its neighbor planets, URANUS and NEPTUNE. A huge single planet would be needed to pull the other two off their courses--or maybe more than one!
This conclusion was based upon careful Astronomical and Astrological observations performed by many independent observers over a period of years. Similar observations by Astronomer Percival Lowell lead to the discovery of PLUTO itself, after he made observations for 25 years, in 1930.
The assumption of their being another planet existing further out from the sun than PLUTO was then referred to as the TRANS-PLUTO hypothesis. The discovery of the ice-centaur (planet?) CHIRON aside, there is still another object out there that is unconfirmed to date.

The anticipated planet TRANSPLUTO causes regular perturbations in the orbits of intra-solar planets. The disturbances are cyclical and predictable. So much so that alert scholars have conjectured as to the astrological nature of this new planetary influence.
